With this service, you can select everything related to the frame, including the dimensions, mat-board colour, frame style, type of glass, and type of print. FAQs

What are the different types of glass available for picture framing?

The types of glass used for photo frames or picture framing are:

  • standard glass: a 2mm thick standard framing glass which blocks up to 5% of UV light
  • non-reflective glass: a 2mm thick glass with a matte-like finish that scatters light to minimize unwanted glare. Blocks up to 5% of UV light
  • UltraVue glass: a nearly invisible glass that virtually eliminates reflection and provides the highest levels of brightness and contrast delivering true colour and revealing fine details you won’t see with ordinary glass. Blocks 70% of UV light.
  • Perspex/acrylic: 2mm thick framing grade acrylic. Shatter resistance safeguards against injury or damage to artworks. It is a lighter option than glass and will block up to 60% of UV light.

Will the certificate for framing be collected?

Your frame will be sent to you with bendy metal tabs on the back to allow for easy access when inserting your certificate. If you would prefer it to be placed in the frame for you, please drop it in to any of our stores or mail your certificate to: Master Framing, 797 Elizabeth Street, Zetland, NSW 2017

How do I hang my frame?

All frames will be equipped with d-rings and wire attached to the back of the frame. Make sure any screws or hanging points are firmly fixed to the wall and will adequately support the weight of your frame. For large, heavy frames and mirrors we would recommend using a professional picture hanger to ensure your frame is attached securely.
